Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada recognizes your

and we will fulfill our responsibilities under the

collected
When
visiting our web site, our web server automatically
logs (records) domain name and standard information
about the operating system and web browser you are
using, as provided by your web browser. This information
is used for statistical purposes to help us manage
our site, but it does not identify you in any way.
We
only collect personal information about you if you
volunteer it in a survey and/or guest book and/or
other "on site" registrations. We may use
this information to contact you for support purposes
and to answer questions you submit to the site. All

Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada is the only national
voluntary organization in Canada that supports both
MS research and services for people with MS and their
families. It is a major source of information about
multiple sclerosis. This information is based on professional

The opinions do not necessarily represent the views
of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. For specific

Contact
Us:
The
Contact Us page is the primary means of communication
with the MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division staff
for a web site visitor. Web site visitors may use
the Contact Us page to send
content suggestions or questions about the Kids, Teens,
or Parents areas of the site directly to the Kid's,
Teen's, & Parent's web site editorial staff. Website
visitors may also use this form to ask general questions
about the website or content, submit notification
of broken links, communicate privacy concerns, and/or
submit praise and/or concerns. All comments are seen
by the Communications Manager who, along with senior
editorial staff, handles all content-related issues
and will use these comments, for instance, as ideas
for generating new content. All technical and operational
issues are forwarded to the Communications Manager.
The Contact Us page is secured using 128-bit encryption.
Any information submitted through the Contact Us page
is not stored and is deleted once it is read by the
appropriate staff.
Message
Boards & Chat Rooms:
The
personally identifiable information that is actively
collected by the MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division
is voluntarily provided by individuals who opt in
to our message boards and chat rooms. This personal
information is used for safety and contact purposes.
This information is not typically viewed by a person
unless there is a problem with the database, the website
visitor has asked to be contacted, or the website
visitor has violated the user submissions. Users may
remove their contact information from our database
by deleting their user file.
When
you visit the site, The MS Society of Canada, Manitoba
Division may automatically collect certain non-identifying
information about you, such as the type of browser

Note to Parents
Our
Kid's & Teen's sections are intended to be a safe
resource for children and teens to find useful, age-appropriate
information. Although the MS Society of Canada, Manitoba
Division is a non-commercial, nonprofit, charitable
foundation and as such is not subject to the Children's
Online Privacy Protection Act, it takes children's
privacy very seriously. The MS Society of Canada,
Manitoba Division does not share or sell the information
sent to it, whether by children or anyone else.
The
MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division does not advertise
third-party products to children or anyone else. The
MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division does not collect
any personally identifiable information from children
with one exception.
To
all of its visitors, the MS Society of Canada, Manitoba
Division offers message boards and chat rooms, which
is an opt-in program on the site. Our Contact Us page
does not ask for any personally identifiable information
other than an e-mail address. Sometimes children and
teens write the MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division
with a personal medical question. As stated elsewhere,
the MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division thus collects
e-mail addresses on the Contact Us form in order to
be able to respond. It is important to note that if
a user communicates a serious issue but does not include
an e-mail address, there will be no way for the MS
Society of Canada, Manitoba Division to respond. All
correspondence on the message boards is filtered before
posting; all chat rooms are monitored for appropriate
